Terms of Service

Last updated: January 26, 2026

This agreement (the "Terms") sets the rules for reaching and using the website at https://stalkview.pages.dev/, along with every feature, page, and tool tied to it (together, the "Service"), which runs under the name StalkView ("we", "us", or "our").

The moment you open or use the Service, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Anyone who isn't willing to accept them should stay away from the Service.

1. Eligibility

1.1. The Service is open to you only if you have reached 18 years of age and are legally able to form a binding agreement with us.

1.2. Every time you use it, you confirm that both of those conditions are true of you.

2. Revisions to These Terms

2.1. These Terms may be reworked occasionally. Each time that happens, the "Last updated" date at the top of the page is adjusted to reflect it.

2.2. A revision takes hold as soon as it goes up, and sticking with the Service afterward signals that you accept the new version.

3. What the Service Does

3.1. StalkView is a web-based utility that lets people look at, and sometimes save, content Instagram has made public — the stories, posts, reels, and highlights sitting on open Instagram profiles.

3.2. It is meant strictly for your own personal, informational, non-commercial purposes.

3.3. Any part or all of the Service may be changed, paused, or shut down whenever we see fit, whether or not we announce it beforehand.

4. We Are Independent of Instagram

4.1. StalkView carries no affiliation with, endorsement from, or official tie to Instagram, Meta Platforms, Inc., or any company they own.

4.2. Wherever "Instagram" or a similar trademark appears, it's used purely to describe what the tool works with.

4.3. At no point does the Service ask for your Instagram sign-in details, and it offers no way into private content.

5. No Sign-Up Needed

5.1. There is no account to open and nothing to register before you can use the Service.

6. Your Privacy

6.1. How we gather and handle information is laid out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms by reference.

7. Your Permission to Use It

7.1. As long as you follow these Terms, you're given a narrow permission to reach and use the Service for your own non-commercial ends — one that isn't exclusive to you, can't be handed to anyone else, and can be withdrawn.

8. What You're Responsible For

How you use the Service is on you alone. That means staying within every law that applies and every outside platform's rules, and taking responsibility for anything you save, keep, pass along, or otherwise make use of.

9. Things You Must Not Do

You promise that you will never:

  • Break the law - put the Service toward anything illegal, damaging, or abusive.
  • Target people - lean on the Service to stalk, harass, or intrude on someone's privacy.
  • Reach walled-off content - try to get at material that is private, deleted, or otherwise restricted.
  • Automate access - point bots, crawlers, or scrapers at the Service.
  • Interfere with it - throw off how the Service runs or slip in malware.
  • Cash in on it - resell entry to the Service or spin up rival offerings from it.
  • Pull it apart - work backward to uncover the underlying source code.
  • Pretend to be others - falsely claim a link to any person or organization.
  • Copy it without permission - frame, mirror, or otherwise duplicate the Service.

10. Ownership of Content

10.1. The look of the Service, along with its wording, imagery, logos, and code, is covered by intellectual property law.

10.2. Whatever Instagram material you reach through the Service belongs to whoever holds the rights to it.

10.3. Making sure your handling of someone else's content squares with the relevant laws and platform rules is entirely down to you.

11. Reporting Copyright Concerns (DMCA)

Think something reachable through the Service steps on your copyright? Put your complaint in writing and send it to: support [at] stalkview [dot] com

12. Outside Services We Use

To run, the Service draws on or connects with outside providers — the likes of Google Analytics, Google AdSense, hosting companies, and email services. Each of them operates under its own terms and privacy policy.

13. No Guarantees

You get the Service exactly "as is" and "as available", with no guarantees attached. We make no promise that it will run without pauses, stay secure, or be free of mistakes.

14. Limits on Our Liability

So far as the law allows, we bear no responsibility for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, and everything we could ever owe you, added together, is capped at USD $100.

15. Covering Us for Claims

You'll cover and shield StalkView against any claim that grows out of how you used the Service, any breach of these Terms on your part, or any infringement of another person's rights.

16. Ending Access

Your access can be paused or cut off at any moment, for whatever reason. The instant that happens, every right and permission handed to you here comes to an end.

17. Which Law Applies

The law of the State of California, United States governs these Terms, and any legal action over them belongs in San Francisco County, California.

18. Links to Other Sites

You may come across links to websites we don't run. We neither vouch for those sites nor take on any responsibility for them.

19. Odds and Ends

Whole deal: Together, these Terms and the Privacy Policy make up the full agreement between us.

Standalone clauses: Should one part be ruled unenforceable, everything else stays fully in force.

Nothing given up: If we don't act on a right straight away, that doesn't mean we've surrendered it.

Handing over: You can't transfer these Terms to anyone, whereas we're free to pass them on as we like.

Wording: Where translations differ, the English text is the one that counts.
